How We Move Pianos in Dubai
Pianos are moved with equipment, not enthusiasm. Weight is transferred onto boards and skids so it is controlled rather than carried, and the frame is padded before anything moves.

Pianos do go out of tune after a move, whoever carries them, because the frame settles and the humidity changes. We suggest waiting two to three weeks before booking a tuner so the instrument stabilises first.
What Happens on the Day
Four stages, and the survey does most of the work.
- Survey. We check the piano type, the route, the stairs, and the lift dimensions.
- Preparation. Lid secured, pedals and legs removed on a grand, full padding applied.
- The move. Boards and skids take the weight, with enough men for the stairs.
- Set up. Legs refitted, instrument levelled, and placed away from direct sun and vents.
Why Pianos Need a Specialist Crew
Most damage to pianos happens in doorways and on landings, not in the truck. A grand needs its legs off and the case on its side, which is a specific technique rather than brute strength.

How much does it cost to move a piano in Dubai?
An upright on ground or lift access usually starts around AED 500 to 900. Grands and stair access cost more because they need more men and more preparation. We quote after seeing photos or visiting.
How many men do you send for a piano?
Three to four for most uprights, and four to six for a grand, depending on stairs. Sending too few is the main cause of accidents.
Do you take the legs off a grand piano?
Yes. The lyre and legs come off and are wrapped separately, the case travels on its side on a board, then we refit everything at the other end.
Will my piano need tuning afterwards?
Almost certainly, as any move affects tuning. Wait two to three weeks for the instrument to settle in its new room, then have it tuned.
Can you move a piano up stairs?
Yes. Tell us the number of steps and any turns on the landing so we bring the right crew and boards.
Is my piano insured while you move it?
We offer transit cover. Tell us the make, model, and value when booking so it is listed correctly.
Can you store a piano?
Yes, in our Dubai storage, wrapped and raised off the floor. Mention it is a piano so we position it away from damp and direct airflow.
